If I'd been old enough and smart, I would have asked about lack of privacy for proper ladies, about food and dangers and how such women were able to deal with men in their employ. But Olds fills in many of these details in WOMEN OF THE FOUR WINDS. It is grand and adventurous tour. vbcrlf
