Are there any new worlds left?
Barring the deep sea and a rare find in some remote land-based location, it appears that humanity has explored nearly every cavity, crevice, and hiding spot that this world has to offer. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons why we consistently look to space. After all, humans are innately curious creatures, are they not? Without new places to explore, a certain level of excitement is lost.
But back in the year 1500 there were still lands to be found, places yet unseen. One of these was on the continent known today as South America. In fact, on that exact year a man by the name of Pedro Alvares Cabral took his Portuguese expedition to India too far westward and ended up in the area we now call Brazil.
