Given the stakes involved, the American people need to understand the clear choice they face regarding this issue. On the one hand, they may support the current policy and remain vulnerable to missile attacks. On the other hand, they may want to have the government deploy a defensive system for countering ballistic missiles. Common sense would dictate a choice in favor of defense.
